Sankalp meaning
Sankalp (संकल्प) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Will, intention, purpose; determination, resolve; a solemn vow
Sankalp (संकल्प) is Sanskrit saṃkalpa, from sam-kḷp, "to form, intend". Monier-Williams gives a conception of the mind, especially will, volition, desire or purpose, and a definite intention, determination or decision. It is also the solemn declaration of purpose that opens a Hindu ritual, still spoken by worshippers today, and in myth Saṃkalpa is the Will personified. Name lists give Sankalp as "determination" or "resolve", which matches the dictionary.
