Sanat meaning
Sanat (सनत्) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
From of old, always, ever; (as a noun) a name of Brahmā
Also used to mean: eternal, everlasting
Sanat (सनत्) is Sanskrit sanat, an old word meaning from of old, always, ever. Monier-Williams also records it as a name of Brahmā, probably taken from Sanatkumāra, "ever young", one of the four sage-sons born from Brahmā's mind who remain children for ever. Name lists give Sanat as "eternal" or "everlasting", which fits the dictionary. In the south the name is usually written Sanath, the spelling carried by the Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya.
