Ramakrishna meaning
Ramakrishna (रामकृष्ण) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Rāma and Kṛṣṇa together; a name of many authors
Also used to mean: rama and krishna
Ramakrishna (रामकृष्ण) brings together the two best-loved avatars of Vishnu: Rāma, the hero of the Rāmāyaṇa, and Kṛṣṇa, the cowherd god of the Bhagavad Gītā. Monier-Williams lists rāma-kṛṣṇa as the name of many Sanskrit authors, showing how old the pairing is. The most famous bearer is Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa (1836–1886), the Bengali mystic whose disciple Swami Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Mission in his name. Ramakrishnan is the usual Tamil and Malayalam form.
