Ramcharan meaning
Ramcharan (रामचरण) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Rāma + caraṇa 'foot': the feet of Rāma
Also used to mean: feet of rama
Ramcharan (रामचरण) joins Rāma with caraṇa, "foot". Monier-Williams notes that caraṇa is used in the plural as a mark of respect, "the feet of" a revered person, and in Hindu devotion to take refuge at the Lord's feet is the humblest form of worship. The name therefore means "the feet of Rama" and expresses devotion to him; name lists give exactly this. Rāma itself means "pleasing, charming, lovely". A well-known bearer is the Telugu film star Ram Charan.
