Aagam meaning
Aagam (आगम) is a Hindu and Jain boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Arrival, coming; acquiring knowledge; a sacred traditional text
Aagam (आगम) is Sanskrit āgama, from the verb gam, "to go", with ā-, "towards", so its first sense is coming or arrival. Monier-Williams goes on to list origin, income, reading and study, and the acquisition of knowledge. He also gives a traditional doctrine or a collection of such doctrines, a sacred work handed down by tradition, and, in the neuter, a Tantra on the worship of Śiva and Śakti. Baby-name lists give the name as "arrival" or "coming", the dictionary's first sense. The name is used in Hindu families and is also used in Jain families, for whom the Āgamas are the canonical scriptures.
