Prasham meaning
Prasham (प्रशम) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Calmness, tranquillity of mind, quiet, rest; cessation
Prasham (प्रशम) is the Sanskrit praśama, from pra-śam, "to become calm", the same root as Prashant and śānti. Monier-Williams gives it as calmness and tranquillity, especially of the mind, and as quiet, rest and the dying down of something, such as anger or pain. In the Bhagavata Purana Praśama is a son of Anakadundubhi, that is, Vasudeva, Krishna's father. In Jain teaching praśama, inner calm, is counted as the first mark of right faith. Name lists give "calm" or "peaceful", the same as the dictionary.
