Sanatan meaning
Sanatan (सनातन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Eternal, perpetual, everlasting, primeval; a name of Brahmā, Viṣṇu and Śiva
Sanatan (सनातन) is Sanskrit sanātana, "eternal, perpetual, everlasting, primeval". Monier-Williams records it as a name of Brahmā, Viṣṇu and Śiva, and of a Ṛṣi counted among the mind-born sons of Brahmā; the feminine Sanātanī is a name of Durgā and of Lakṣmī or Sarasvatī. Many Hindus call their tradition sanātana dharma, "the eternal way". Sanātana Gosvāmī, one of the Vaishnava scholars of Vrindavan who followed Chaitanya, also bore the name. Name lists give Sanatan as "eternal".
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Vishnu.
