Shyamsundar meaning
Shyamsundar (श्यामसुन्दर) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Dark and beautiful one, an epithet of Kṛṣṇa
Also used to mean: lord krishna
Shyamsundar (श्यामसुन्दर) joins Sanskrit śyāma, "dark, dark blue", and sundara, "beautiful". Monier-Williams gives śyāma as black, dark-blue or dark-coloured, and also a rain cloud, and Apte records the compound śyāmasundara as an epithet of Kṛṣṇa, whose complexion poets liken to a dark monsoon cloud. It is a favourite name of Krishna in Vaishnava devotion and in bhajans, and temple images of Krishna are often called Shyamsundar. Name lists give "dark and beautiful" or "Lord Krishna", matching the sources.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Krishna.
