Sanchay meaning
Sanchay (संचय) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Collection, gathering, accumulation; heap, hoard, store; multitude
Also used to mean: riches
Sanchay (संचय) is Sanskrit saṃcaya, from sam, "together", and the verb ci, "to gather, pile up". Monier-Williams gives it as collection, gathering or accumulation, a heap, hoard or store, and a multitude or quantity, citing the Nirukta and the Mahābhārata. In Hindi sanchay still means saving or storing up. Name lists give Sanchay as "collection" or "riches"; the second is a loose reading of the dictionary's hoard or store. It is closely related to the name Sanchit.
