Hiranmoy meaning
Hiranmoy (हिरण्मय) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage).
Golden, gold-coloured; a name of Brahmā
Hiranmoy (हिरण्मय) is the Bengali form of Sanskrit hiraṇmaya, a shortened hiraṇya-maya, "made of gold". Monier-Williams gives it as "golden, gold-coloured" and as a name of Brahmā, the creator born from the golden cosmic egg, Hiraṇyagarbha. The Puranas also use it for one of the nine regions of the world. Name lists give the meaning as "golden", in line with the dictionary. The Bengali ending -moy, from Sanskrit -maya, "full of", appears in many names such as Chinmoy and Mrinmoy. The feminine form is Hiranmayi.
