Vipul meaning
Vipul (विपुल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Large, extensive, great; abundant, numerous; important; noble
Also used to mean: plenty
Vipul (विपुल) is the Sanskrit vipula, "large, extensive, wide". Monier-Williams gives it as great, thick and long, as abundant and numerous, as important, as loud when used of a sound, and as noble when used of a family; as a noun it means a respectable man, and the feminine vipulā is a name for the earth. In the Mahābhārata Vipula is the faithful pupil who guarded his teacher's wife from the god Indra. In Hindi vipul still means plentiful, as in vipul dhan, "great wealth". Name lists give the name as "abundant" or "plenty", matching the dictionary. It is used in Gujarat and North India.
