Viplav meaning
Viplav (विप्लव) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Confusion, calamity; tumult, affray, revolt; destruction; spreading abroad
Also used to mean: revolution
Viplav (विप्लव) is the Sanskrit viplava, from vi-plu, "to float apart, to be scattered". Monier-Williams gives a wide range of senses: confusion, trouble and calamity; tumult, affray and revolt; destruction and ruin; even shipwreck, and also the spreading abroad of news. Most of the classical senses describe upheaval and disorder. In modern Hindi and Bengali the word has come to mean "revolution", and parents who choose it usually have that sense in mind; name lists give it as "revolution" or "revolt". In Bengal and the Northeast the name is written Biplab, as with Biplab Kumar Deb, former Chief Minister of Tripura.
