Vipin meaning
Vipin (विपिन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
A wood, forest, thicket, grove
Vipin (विपिन) is the Sanskrit vipina, "a wood, a forest, a grove". Monier-Williams explains the word as "stirring or waving", that is, trees moving in the wind, from the verb vip, "to tremble, to quiver". It is a common word in Sanskrit poetry, as in vṛndā-vipina, the groves of Vrindavan where Krishna spent his youth. Name lists give the name simply as "forest", matching the dictionary. In Bengal and the hills the name is often written Bipin, as with the freedom fighter Bipin Chandra Pal and General Bipin Rawat, India's first Chief of Defence Staff.
