Suman meaning
Suman (सुमन) is a Hindu unisex name of Sanskrit origin, used for both girls and boys.
Good-minded, kind, cheerful; (feminine) flowers; a flower
Suman (सुमन) comes from Sanskrit su-manas, literally "having a good mind", from su-, "good", and manas, "mind". Monier-Williams gives the adjective as "good-minded, well-disposed, benevolent, gracious", "well pleased, cheerful" and also "wise". The same word, used in the feminine plural, is a common Sanskrit term for "flowers", and the neuter means "a flower"; Hindi still uses suman for a blossom. The dictionary also lists the great-flowered jasmine under it. Indian name lists give Suman as "flower" or "good-hearted", matching both senses. The name is used for girls and for boys.
