Sriharsha meaning
Sriharsha (श्रीहर्ष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Name of a celebrated king and poet (śrī 'glory' + harṣa 'joy')
Also used to mean: prosperity and joy
Sriharsha (श्रीहर्ष) joins the honorific śrī, "glory, prosperity", with harṣa, "joy, delight". Monier-Williams records Śrīharṣa as the name of various authors, above all the celebrated king and patron of poets of the 7th century, King Harsha of Kanauj, to whom the Sanskrit plays Nāgānanda, Priyadarśikā and Ratnāvalī are attributed. A later Śrīharṣa, of the 12th century, wrote the great poem Naiṣadhīyacarita on Nala and Damayantī. Name lists give Sriharsha as "joy" or "prosperity and joy", which fit its parts.
