Dhruv meaning
Dhruv (ध्रुव) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Fixed, firm, constant; the pole star
Dhruv (ध्रुव) is Sanskrit dhruva, "fixed, firm, immovable, constant, lasting, eternal", a word Monier-Williams illustrates with the earth, a mountain or a vow. As a noun it is the pole star, the one star that does not seem to move, and the dictionary notes that the star is personified as Dhruva, son of King Uttānapāda and grandson of Manu. In the Viṣṇu and Bhāgavata Purāṇas the boy Dhruva, hurt by his stepmother's scorn, goes to the forest to pray to Viṣṇu with the help of the sage Nārada, and is rewarded with an everlasting place in the sky as the pole star. Baby-name lists give "pole star" or "steadfast", matching the dictionary.
