Pratik meaning
Pratik (प्रतीक) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Face, outward form, appearance; an image or symbol
Pratik (प्रतीक) comes from Sanskrit pratīka, an adjective meaning "turned towards" or "facing". As a noun Monier-Williams gives the face, especially the mouth, then outward form, look or appearance, the front, a surface, an image or symbol, a copy, and the opening words of a verse by which it is quoted. In the Rig Veda the word is used for the face or surface of things; a commentary on the Chāndogya Upaniṣad uses it for an image or symbol. Modern Hindi uses pratīk as the everyday word for a symbol, and name lists give Pratik the same meaning. Prateek is another spelling.
