Apoorv meaning
Apoorv (अपूर्व) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Unprecedented, entirely new; unparalleled, extraordinary
Also used to mean: unique
Apoorv (अपूर्व) is the Sanskrit apūrva, from a-, "not", and pūrva, "earlier, former": something that has never come before. Monier-Williams gives it as unprecedented or unheard of, not existing before, quite new, and so unparalleled, incomparable and extraordinary. In the Mīmāṃsā school of philosophy apūrva is also a technical term for the unseen force by which a ritual act later bears fruit. Name lists give Apoorv as "unique" or "unprecedented", matching the dictionary. Apurv and Apurva are other spellings, and Apurva is also used for girls.
