Jaideep meaning
Jaideep (जयदीप) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Lamp of victory (jaya, 'victory' + dīpa, 'light, lamp')
Also used to mean: victory of light
Jaideep (जयदीप) joins Sanskrit jaya, "victory, conquest, triumph", and dīpa, "a light, lamp or lantern", both found in Monier-Williams. The compound itself is a later name rather than a dictionary word, so it is read from its parts as "lamp of victory". Name lists more often give "victory of light", which uses the same two words the other way round. Jaydeep is the usual Gujarati and Marathi spelling and Jaidip is used in Bengal. Actor Jaideep Ahlawat, known for Paatal Lok, is a well-known bearer.
