Madhusudan meaning
Madhusudan (मधुसूदन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Slayer of the demon Madhu, an epithet of Vishnu-Krishna
Also used to mean: Lord Krishna
Madhusudan (मधुसूदन) is Sanskrit madhusūdana, "destroyer of Madhu", from the name of the demon Madhu and sūdana, "destroying". Monier-Williams records it as an epithet of Vishnu and Krishna in the Mahabharata and Ramayana, and, playfully, as a word for a bee, the "destroyer of honey". In the Bhagavad Gita Arjuna repeatedly addresses Krishna as Madhusudana, and the name is one of the thousand names of Vishnu. Bearers include the Advaita philosopher Madhusudana Sarasvati and the Bengali poet Michael Madhusudan Dutt.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Krishna.
