Subhrajit meaning
Subhrajit (शुभ्रजित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali, Odia and Assamese usage).
Compound of śubhra, 'radiant, shining; white', and jit, 'winning'
Also used to mean: white victor, one who conquers auspiciousness
Subhrajit (शुभ्रजित) joins Sanskrit śubhra with jit, "winning, conquering". Monier-Williams gives śubhra as radiant, shining and splendid, as clear and spotless (said of fame), and as bright white. The name can therefore be read as "radiant victor" or "one whose victory is spotless"; name lists give "white victor". It is not the same word as śubha, "auspicious", in the similar name Subhajit, though the two are often confused. Subhrajit is used across Bengal, Odisha and Assam.
