Tejesh meaning
Tejesh (तेजेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (compound). By its first sound, ते, it is a Tula rashi name (Vishakha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Lord of splendour (tejas + īśa)
Also used to mean: god of brightness, the sun
Tejesh (तेजेश) is a compound of two Sanskrit words: tejas, the glow of fire or light, brilliance and majesty, and īśa, "master" or "lord", which is also a name of Śiva. Together they mean "lord of splendour" or "lord of radiance". Name lists give Tejesh as "god of brightness" or link it with the sun, which fits the compound, though the dictionaries do not record Tejesh itself as a name of the sun or of any god. It is built on the same pattern as Ganesh, Mahesh and Umesh, and is also written Thejesh, a South Indian spelling.
