Dayaram meaning
Dayaram (दयाराम) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Personal name joining dayā, 'compassion', and Rāma
Also used to mean: compassion of Rama, merciful Rama
Dayaram (दयाराम) is an old Indian name that Monier-Williams records as the name of several men. It joins dayā, "sympathy, compassion", with Rāma, the hero of the Ramayana, so it is read as "Rama the compassionate" or "the compassion of Rama", in the same pattern as names like Sitaram and Rajaram. Its most famous bearer is Dayaram, the Gujarati devotional poet of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, whose garbi songs to Krishna are still sung, and who is counted with Narsinh Mehta and Mirabai among the great bhakti poets of Gujarati.
