Dayal meaning
Dayal (दयाल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Compassionate, taking pity
Also used to mean: kind
Dayal (दयाल) is the everyday Hindi form of Sanskrit dayālu, built on dayā, "sympathy, compassion, pity". Monier-Williams treats dayālu as the same as dayā-vat, a person who takes pity or is full of pity for others. Indian name lists give exactly this meaning, "kind" or "compassionate". In North Indian devotional songs, dayal and dayalu are common words for God as the merciful one. It is used on its own and in compounds such as Deendayal, "compassionate to the poor".
