Tejpal meaning
Tejpal (तेजपाल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, ते, it is a Tula rashi name (Vishakha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A man's name; literally guardian of splendour (tejas + pāla)
Also used to mean: protector of light, protector of splendour
Tejpal (तेजपाल) is the Sanskrit tejaḥpāla, which Monier-Williams records as a man's name. It joins tejas, the glow of fire, splendour and majesty, with pāla, "guard" or "protector", so it reads as "protector of splendour", the meaning name lists give. The best-known historical Tejapāla was a thirteenth-century Jain minister and general of the Vāghelā court at Dholka in Gujarat, who with his brother Vastupāla is remembered as a great builder; he built the Lūṇa-vasahī temple at Dilwara on Mount Abu in 1231. The name is used by Hindu, Jain and Punjabi families.
