Sitanshu meaning
Sitanshu (सितांशु) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
'white-rayed', the moon; also camphor
Sitanshu (सितांशु) is Sanskrit sitāṃśu, made of sita, "white, pale, bright", and aṃśu, "ray". Monier-Williams explains it as "white-rayed", a poetic name for the moon found in the poetry of Bhartṛhari, and also lists camphor, another white and shining thing, as a rarer sense. Indian name lists give Sitanshu as "moon", which matches the dictionary. It belongs to a family of Sanskrit moon names built on the idea of rays of light, alongside Sudhanshu, "nectar-rayed", and Himanshu, "cool-rayed".
