Tejasvi meaning
Tejasvi (तेजस्वी) is a Hindu unisex name of Sanskrit origin, used for both girls and boys. By its first sound, ते, it is a Tula rashi name (Vishakha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Brilliant, splendid, bright, powerful, energetic
Tejasvi (तेजस्वी) is Sanskrit tejasvin, "possessing tejas", the brilliance, fire and vital energy of that word; tejasvī is its nominative form. Monier-Williams gives the adjective as "brilliant, splendid, bright, powerful, energetic", citing the Taittirīya Saṃhitā and Brāhmaṇa, and also "inspiring respect, dignified, noble" from Manu. Said of the eye, it means sharp. In the Mahābhārata Tejasvin is also the name of a son of Indra. Indian name lists give Tejasvi as bright, radiant or brilliant, which matches the dictionary, and the word lives on in modern Indian languages for a person of striking energy and presence. Formally the form is masculine, but the name is given to both boys and girls.
