Ramnath meaning
Ramnath (रामनाथ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
'Rāma's lord'; a name of Rāma and of kings and teachers
Also used to mean: lord rama, lord shiva
Ramnath (रामनाथ) joins Rāma with nātha, "lord, protector". Monier-Williams glosses rāma-nātha as "Rāma's lord" and records it as a name of Rāma, son of Daśaratha, as well as of a king of Devagiri and several teachers. The phrase can be read both ways: at Rameswaram, Shiva is worshipped as Ramanatha, the lord whom Rama himself worshipped, so name lists mention both Rama and Shiva. A well-known bearer is Ram Nath Kovind, the fourteenth President of India. Ramanathan is the Tamil form.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Ram.
