Paramanand meaning
Paramanand (परमानंद) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Supreme felicity, highest bliss; the Supreme Spirit
Paramanand (परमानंद) joins Sanskrit parama, "highest", with ānanda, "joy, bliss". Monier-Williams gives it as supreme felicity and as the Supreme Spirit, the soul of the universe, citing the Mahabharata and Bhartrihari. In Vedanta, ānanda, pure bliss, is one of the three attributes of Brahman. Many saints and scholars have carried the name, and Monier-Williams lists a long line of authors called Paramananda. Name lists give "supreme bliss", the same as the dictionary. In North India the name is usually written Parmanand.
