Pramit meaning
Pramit (प्रमित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Measured; moderate, limited; known, understood, established
Pramit (प्रमित) is the Sanskrit pramita, from pra-mā, "to measure". Monier-Williams gives it as measured or meted out, limited and moderate, and also as known, understood and established, the sense of something that has been correctly judged. The same root gives pramāṇa, "proof, standard of measure", a key term in Indian philosophy. The Vishnu Purana mentions a teacher named Pramita. Name lists give "measured" or "moderate", which matches the dictionary, and some add "sensible" as a loose reading of the same idea.
