Jayaditya meaning
Jayaditya (जयादित्य) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Victorious sun (jaya + āditya); name of a co-author of the Kāśikā
Jayaditya (जयादित्य) joins Sanskrit jaya, "victory, triumph", with āditya, a son of the goddess Aditi and, above all, the sun. Read together it is "victorious sun", the meaning name lists give. Monier-Williams records Jayāditya as a historical name: the scholar, called a king there, who with Vāmana wrote the Kāśikā, the 7th-century commentary on Pāṇini's grammar. The name shares Aditya's sun imagery, joined to a word for victory.
