Tuhinanshu meaning
Tuhinanshu (तुहिनांशु) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The cold-rayed one, the moon; camphor
Also used to mean: cool-rayed
Tuhinanshu (तुहिनांशु) is the Sanskrit tuhināṃśu, from tuhina, "frost, snow, cold", and aṃśu, "ray". Monier-Williams gives it as a name of the moon, the "cold-rayed" one, citing the astronomer Varāhamihira, and also as camphor, prized for its cool whiteness. It belongs with other poetic names for the moon such as Himanshu and Sheetanshu, which mean the same thing. Name lists give Tuhinanshu as "the moon" or "cool-rayed", which matches; one site's "snow-covered mountain" is not a dictionary sense. It is a longer form of the name Tuhin.
