Pradyumna meaning
Pradyumna (प्रद्युम्न) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The pre-eminently mighty one; Krishna's son, the god of love reborn
Also used to mean: very brilliant, son of krishna
Pradyumna (प्रद्युम्न) is formed from pra-, "very, forth", and dyumna, "splendour, glory, power". Monier-Williams translates it as "the pre-eminently mighty one" and records it as the name of the god of love, Kama, reborn as the son of Krishna and Rukmini. His story, including his abduction as an infant by the demon Shambara, is told in the Mahabharata, the Harivamsha and the Puranas. Name lists often give "very brilliant", which follows the dyumna part of the word. It is also shortened to Pradyuman or Pradyumn.
