Satyaki meaning
Satyaki (सात्यकि) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage). By its first sound, सा, it is a Kumbh rashi name (Shatabhisha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Patronymic of Yuyudhāna, a Vṛṣṇi warrior and Kṛṣṇa's charioteer
Also used to mean: charioteer of Krishna, son of Satyaka
Satyaki (सात्यकि) is the name of a hero of the Mahabharata. The word is a patronymic, "descendant of Satyaka", and Satyaka itself is built on satya, "true". Monier-Williams identifies Sātyaki as Yuyudhāna of the Vṛṣṇi clan, a warrior who fought on the Pāṇḍava side and served as Krishna's charioteer. He was a pupil of Arjuna and one of the few on that side who survived the war. The name is used mainly by Bengali families, and it carries both its epic hero and a link with truth.
