Satyanand meaning
Satyanand (सत्यानन्द) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
True bliss; the name of a man
Also used to mean: joy in truth, bliss of truth
Satyanand (सत्यानन्द) joins satya, "true, real", with ānanda, "joy, bliss". Monier-Williams gives satyānanda as "true bliss", citing the Rāmatāpanīya Upaniṣad, and also as a man's name. Name lists give "joy in truth" or "bliss of truth", which read the same two words the other way round. Like other -ānanda names it is used by monks as well as families; its best-known bearer is Swami Satyananda Saraswati, founder of the Bihar School of Yoga. Southern families usually write Satyananda or Sathyananda.
