Satej meaning
Satej (सतेज) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Marathi usage).
Attended with splendour, energy or vital power
Satej (सतेज) is Sanskrit satejas, made of sa-, "with", and tejas, a rich word for the sharp glow of fire and, by extension, splendour, energy and vital power. Monier-Williams gives satejas as attended with splendour, energy or vital power, citing Vedic prose texts. In Marathi satej is still an everyday word for something bright or lustrous. Name lists do not agree on a meaning, some linking the name with Shiva, so the dictionary sense, "radiant, full of energy", is the safest guide. The name is used mostly in Maharashtra.
