Rajkiran meaning
Rajkiran (राजकिरण) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Rāja 'king' + kiraṇa 'ray of light': royal ray of light
Also used to mean: king of light
Rajkiran (राजकिरण) joins rāja, "king", with kiraṇa, which Monier-Williams gives as "a ray or beam of light, a sun- or moonbeam". The name reads "royal ray of light" or "king of light", which is how name lists explain it. Two film actors are known by this name: Raj Kiran of Hindi films in the 1970s and 80s, and the Tamil actor Rajkiran, who has said he chose it for kiran, "rays of the sun".
