Hanumant meaning
Hanumant (हनुमंत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
'having large jaws'; Hanumān, the monkey-chief who served Rāma
Also used to mean: Lord Hanuman
Hanumant (हनुमंत) is the stem form of Hanumān, the great monkey hero of the Rāmāyaṇa. Monier-Williams explains hanu-mat as "having large jaws", from hanu, "jaw", and records him as the son of the Wind god who helped Rāma against Rāvaṇa, able to change shape, move mountains and fly; other legends make him a son of Shiva and Añjanā. Monier-Williams also notes him as a common village god. As a given name it appears as Hanumant, Hanumanth or Hanumanta.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Hanuman.
