Akshat meaning
Akshat (अक्षत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Uncrushed, unbroken, uninjured, whole
Also used to mean: sacred rice
Akshat (अक्षत) is the Sanskrit akṣata, from a-, "not", and kṣata, "wounded, broken". Monier-Williams gives it as uncrushed, uninjured, unbroken and whole, and records it as a name of Śiva. In the plural it means unhusked grains used in ritual, and in Hindu worship today akṣat are the whole, unbroken grains of rice offered during pūjā and showered in blessings at weddings. Name lists give Akshat as "whole", "unbroken" or "sacred rice", all of which follow from the dictionary. Akshata is the feminine form.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Shiva.
