Akshit meaning
Akshit (अक्षित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Undecayed, uninjured, undecaying
Also used to mean: permanent, imperishable
Akshit (अक्षित) is the Sanskrit akṣita, from a-, "not", and kṣita, "wasted, decayed", from the verb kṣi, "to waste away". Monier-Williams gives it as undecayed, uninjured and undecaying, something that does not run out. The Vedic poets used it of inexhaustible things, and Monier-Williams also lists it as a word for water and for an immense number, a hundred thousand million. Name lists give Akshit as "permanent" or "imperishable", which fits the dictionary well. It is used in North India, and is spelled Akshith in the South.
