Avyay meaning
Avyay (अव्यय) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Not subject to change, imperishable; a name of Vishnu or Shiva
Also used to mean: eternal, unchanging
Avyay (अव्यय) is the Sanskrit avyaya, from a-, "not", and vyaya, "loss, decay, spending": that which never declines. Monier-Williams gives it as not subject to change, imperishable and undecaying, from the Upaniṣads and Manu, and as a name of Viṣṇu or Śiva. The Bhagavad Gītā uses avyaya of the self, which is unborn and imperishable. Grammarians use the same word for an indeclinable, a word that never changes its form. Name lists give Avyay as "imperishable", "eternal" or "unchanging", matching the dictionary.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Vishnu.
