Kamal meaning
Kamal (कमल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
A lotus, lotus flower; pale red, rose-coloured
Kamal (कमल) is the Sanskrit and Hindi word for the lotus. Monier-Williams gives kamala as a lotus or lotus flower and, as an adjective, pale red or rose-coloured. The feminine Kamalā is a name of the goddess Lakṣmī, who is shown seated on a lotus, and MW also lists Kamala as a name of Brahmā, who is born from a lotus. The lotus appears in many Indian names, such as Kamalnayan, "lotus-eyed", and Kamalesh. Muslim families also use the name Kamal, but there it is a different, Arabic word.
