Padmanabh meaning
Padmanabh (पद्मनाभ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
'lotus-navelled', a name of Viṣṇu
Padmanabh (पद्मनाभ) is the Sanskrit padmanābha, "lotus-navelled", from padma, "lotus", and nābhi, "navel". Monier-Williams records it as a name of Vishnu, from whose navel a lotus grew, and in that lotus Brahma was born to create the world. Vishnu as Padmanabha reclines on the serpent Shesha in the great Padmanabhaswamy Temple of Thiruvananthapuram, whose rulers called themselves the servants of Padmanabha. Name lists give "lotus navel", the same as the dictionary. South Indian families usually say Padmanabhan.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Vishnu.
