Avinash meaning
Avinash (अविनाश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Non-destruction; (avināśin) imperishable
Also used to mean: indestructible, eternal
Avinash (अविनाश) is built from Sanskrit a-, "not", and vināśa, "destruction", so avināśa means non-destruction. Monier-Williams also records the adjective avināśin, imperishable or not decaying, and cites its use in the Bhagavad Gītā (2.17), where Krishna describes the self that pervades all things as imperishable. Name lists give Avinash as "indestructible" or "eternal", which follows that adjective closely. Some sites split the name differently, as avi + nāśa, but the standard reading is a- plus vināśa. In Bengali and Odia the name is often spelt Abinash.
