Kinshuk meaning
Kinshuk (किंशुक) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The flame-of-the-forest tree (Butea frondosa) and its blossom
Also used to mean: a flower
Kinshuk (किंशुक) is Sanskrit kiṃśuka, the name of the flame-of-the-forest tree, Butea frondosa, which Hindi calls palāś or ṭesū. Monier-Williams notes that poets often allude to its beautiful blossoms, and the neuter word means the flower itself. The tree bursts into bright orange-red flowers in late winter and spring, and its blossoms were traditionally used to make Holi colours. Name lists give "a flower", which matches. In Bengal the name is usually spelled Kingshuk.
