Tushar meaning
Tushar (तुषार) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Frost, snow, mist, dew; cold
Tushar (तुषार) is the Sanskrit tuṣāra. As an adjective Monier-Williams gives it as cold or chilly, citing Kālidāsa's Raghuvaṃśa; as a noun it covers all the cool, fine moisture of the air: frost, cold, snow, mist, dew and light rain, used in the Mahabharata and later poetry. The compound tuṣāra-kaṇa, "a particle of frost", appears in Māgha's Śiśupālavadha, and the lexicographers add camphor, which is white and cool. Indian name lists give Tushar as "snow" or "frost", which matches the dictionary. The name suggests coolness and freshness, qualities that suit a gentle-sounding name.
