Keval meaning
Keval (केवल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, के, it is a Mithun rashi name (Punarvasu nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Alone, sole, exclusively one's own; whole, entire, absolute
Keval (केवल) is Sanskrit kevala. Monier-Williams gives it as exclusively one's own, alone, only or sole, and isolated, abstract or absolute, and also as whole and entire. As a noun it names the doctrine of the absolute unity of spirit and, for Jains, kevala-jñāna, the perfect knowledge of an enlightened soul. Kaivalya, final liberation, comes from the same word. In Hindi keval simply means "only". Name lists give "sole" or "absolute", which match. The name is used by Hindu and Jain families.
