Kishan meaning
Kishan (किशन) is a Hindu boy's name of Hindi origin (from Sanskrit).
Krishna (the everyday Hindi form of kṛṣṇa)
Also used to mean: dark
Kishan (किशन) is the everyday North Indian form of the name Krishna. Platts' Hindustani dictionary records kishan as a popular form of Sanskrit kṛṣṇa and glosses it simply as the god Krishna, and Monier-Williams gives kṛṣṇa first as black or dark and then as the name of the celebrated incarnation of Viṣṇu. Name lists give "Krishna" or "dark", which match. It is not the word kisān, "farmer", although the two sound alike. Kishan appears in compound names such as Jaikishan and Kishanlal.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Krishna.
