Siddharth meaning
Siddharth (सिद्धार्थ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
One who has accomplished his aim; successful; name of the Buddha
Siddharth (सिद्धार्थ) is the Sanskrit siddhārtha, from siddha, "accomplished", and artha, "aim, object". Monier-Williams gives it as one who has accomplished his aim, successful or prosperous, and also as leading to the goal, efficacious. As a name it belongs above all to Gautama Buddha, Siddhārtha Gautama, which MW explains as "he who has fulfilled the object of his coming". In Jain tradition Siddhārtha is the father of Mahāvīra, the twenty-fourth Tīrthaṅkara, and MW also lists a councillor of King Daśaratha by this name. Name lists give the same meaning. The final a is dropped in modern speech, and Sidharth and Siddarth are other spellings.
