Vishrut meaning
Vishrut (विश्रुत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Heard of far and wide, famous, celebrated; also pleased, happy
Also used to mean: renowned, well-known
Vishrut (विश्रुत) is the Sanskrit viśruta, from vi-śru, "to be heard far and wide". Monier-Williams gives it as heard of far and wide, noted, famous and celebrated, a sense found from the Ṛg-veda onward, and also as known by a name; the lexicons add pleased, delighted and happy. As a neuter noun it means fame, and in the Bhāgavata Purāṇa Viśruta is a son of Vasudeva. The root śru, "to hear", is the same one that gives śruti, the heard revelation of the Vedas. Name lists give Vishrut as "famous" or "renowned", matching the dictionary. In South India it is usually spelled Vishruth.
